Cruise and visit of Bai Tu Long Bay

Next to the famous Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay will appeal to those who are looking for an equally picturesque, less crowded and more authentic landscape. You will be fascinated by the spectacular seascape of limestone pillars and wild white sandy beaches.

Located in the east of Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay covers an area of 100 hectares. This bay is similar to its big sister with some 600 islands and islets formed naturally over millions of years, creating an impressive landscape. It is worth a cruise to soak up the tranquility and hidden charms of nature.

According to the legend, when Vietnam was attacked by invaders, the Jade Emperor sent a mother dragon and her children to help the Vietnamese. They spat out many pearls which formed islands and islets. The place of descent of the dragon mother is called Ha Long while that of one of her sons is Bai Tu Long Bay.

Currently, Halong Bay is a victim of its success and is very crowded. Bai Tu Long Bay, with its advantages of a well preserved place, still wild, much less touristy, becomes an alternative for visitors during a trip to Vietnam.

In 2017, Bai Tu Long Bay was selected as the 38th ASEAN Heritage Park, meeting the required criteria of ecological integrity, representativeness, naturalness, or preservation.
