Hiking and trekking in Vietnam
For nature lovers and adventurers, we invite you to explore Vietnam in a different way, by hiking, and also biking, and even by boat, far from the traditional path, in remote territories, wild and isolated areas in rural parts of the country (Pu Luong, Mai Chau, Tu Le, Mu Cang Chai, Bac Ha, Hoang Su Phi, Dong Van, Cao Bang, Ba Be, Nam Cat Tien…).
On the paths of the peoples of the highlands North Vietnam
We offer a wide variety of hikes and treks in Vietnam for all levels. From the simple 2h walk to the sporty trekking of 15 km, 6-7h per day, there is something for all tastes. All of them are set in some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.
Exploring the spectacular landscapes during the trek in Vietnam
The region that offers the most possibilities of sporting activities in the heart of authenticity is undeniably the North of the country which shelters grandiose landscapes of wild nature and multiple ethnic minorities. These ethnic groups have kept their traditions, rites, customs and ancestral costumes. The access to their region is sometimes difficult, off the main roads, away from modernization, it is a guarantee of authenticity. They continue to carve the mountains in espalier where they plant and harvest rice twice a year.
Meetings with ethnic groups in the northern mountains
We hike in the heart of rice terraces, meet many minorities, attend their traditional colorful markets, admire the beautiful scenery and immerse ourselves in the local culture.
Discovery of daily life
For a complete immersion, during the treks, you will stay with local people (the basic comfort is largely compensated by the warm welcome and the kindness of the hosts) or in Eco-lodges in the middle of nature, in harmony with nature, and share the meals with the locals.
Meals and overnight in homestay in traditional houses on stilts
The itineraries of the tours may vary slightly depending on the season and the days of the weekly markets. The tour ends with a magical cruise on the mythical Lan Ha Bay, a smaller and less touristic sister of Halong Bay. You visit floating fishermen villages and caves, kayak to explore lagoons surrounded by karst mountains, swim and relax.
It is possible to extend the adventure by the cultural visit of Hue and Hoi An in the center of Vietnam and the discovery of the meandering Mekong delta in the South, by boat along the floating markets, or by bike in it’s fruit gardens.
