Episode 8: Heading South, from Lung Phin to Hanoi via Ha Giang
From Lung Phin to Ha Giang another 6 hours of driving on a rather bad road at the beginning, but with still wild landscapes
Nghia regains strength to continue to lead us through this series of endless curves.
The roads of this region are so sinuous that we did not exceed the 60km of the week, we will have to wait to pass again to Ha Giang on the road of Hanoi to do it !!
Arrived at a junction, the planned road is impracticable, we are obliged to pass again by Yen Minh then Tam Son where a gargote will make us the biggest good, and finally by the collar the Doors of the Sky already crossed in the outward journey.
After 5-6h, here are the sharks’ teeth around Ha Giang
As the rice fields are also back, we take the opportunity to go for a walk…
… to meet the Tay ethnic group.

Last accommodation in a village of beautiful traditional houses…
… including ours
Behind this beautiful house, there are 2 pretty bungalows which attract our attention: our host then tells us that they are new and that we can spend the night there if it suits us for a small supplement
After a quick visit we choose one of the 2 bungalows… and so much the worse for the traditional house :

Notre hôte…
… prepared an excellent meal (once again) with egg rolls, Peking duck, fish, chicken, vegetables…
The problem is that her husband is doing something that will make our heads hurt again :
… and it does not fail, the toasts follow one another at an infernal rate.
An advice: if you want to take advantage of your vacations in Vietnam to make a detoxification to alcohol, it is not even worth thinking about it.
In the early morning the landscape is bucolic despite the rice alcohol, a mixture of rice fields and thatched roofs
Last jokes with Vinh and Nghia before returning to Hanoi :

OWe drop Vinh at his place at 80km in the north of Hanoi then Nghia leads us to the Chic Hotel, in the old city of Hanoi
